3° Milk Tea Corner

Why consumption-based emissions matter?

Friday, 27 March 2026

9:00-9:30 (Rome, GMT +1)
17:00-17:30 (Seoul, GMT + 9)

Join us for the 3nd Milk Tea Corner, a special edition of our well-known Tea Corner, with a focus on Asia.

We will explore a question that is becoming increasingly relevant for companies, institutions, and decision-makers: are production-based emissions enough to understand real climate responsibility?

On 27 March 2026, in just 30 minutes, we will discuss why consumption-based emissions are gaining attention in the global sustainability debate - and why they matter for carbon accounting, climate policy, and climate justice.

Our guest speaker, Rae Kwon Chung, Member of the Board of Directors at the Ban Ki-moon Foundation, will guide us through this perspective, helping us reflect on how global supply chains shift emissions across borders and reshape responsibility.

Prof. Chung is a South Korean environmental diplomat, IPCC member, and Nobel Peace Prize laureate (2007) recognized for his work on climate change. As a key expert on green growth, he currently serves as the Chairman of the International Award Committee for The Global Energy Prize.

If your company is working on sustainability, supply chain transparency, carbon footprinting, or ESG strategy, this conversation offers a valuable opportunity to look beyond conventional metrics and ask better questions.

Grab your milk tea and join us for this insightful discussion! 🍵
